It was with great sadness that the Club received the news that long standing Vice President and Club Stalwart David Bolton (aged 80 ) had died after a short spell in hospital following a fall.
David was a former Secretary and Chairman of the Club (2002/2004) and had been a member for over35 years. He was involved with the minis and Juniors initially when his son Paul played for the Club’s minis and immediately made an impact both on the pitch as a coach and off it as an administrator.
He was honoured as “Clubman of the Year” in 1991/2 in recognition of his work for the Club
Long after his retirement from the Club Committee and his involvement with the Berkshire County Committee David was one of our most regular supporters and continued to support and assist the Club in any way he could. He was a highly regarded and well known Club supporter at every home match
To Gwen his wife who accompanied him to all home matches, his daughter Katherine who is a “Junior Mum” and David’s son Paul who played for the Club for a number of years we offer our deepest condolences. We hope that we can look forward to welcoming Gwen (and family) to the Club on match days (or whenever she wishes) to continue the family’s long and valued association with the Club.
David's funeral will take place on Monday 10 July 2023 at 2.30pm at Easthampstead Crematorium
Afterwards to celebrate David’s Life at the Club
